Blackberry Covers Becoming a Fashion

Many people these days have a blackberry phone or has seen one. Since blackberry phones are not the cheapest who would want their phone to get scratch and look old within weeks of them owning it. Many people these days are buying covers for their phones. The most popular covers are rubber and come in about almost every color and are only a $1 if you buy them on ebay.

Since these rubber covers are so cheap people have to started buy many colors to match their oufit for the day. For example, the other I saw a girl wearing a bright orange velour jump suit and she had a bright orange rubber cover on her blackberry.

I believe its important to get some type of cover for your blackberry but not one in very color to match your outfit for the day. That is just a little too much.

Shhh Lingerie Line by the Pussycat Dolls

Many celebrities come out with lines of clothes. Well it is the Pussycat Dolls turn to release their first line. I know exciting right? But wait it is not your normal line of clothes that includes fashionable tops and bottoms. They just released a lingerie line. Although I am not a lingerie shopper I am still excited to see the designs are all about. Since Victoria’s Secret mostly controls lingerie business I wonder if this line will bring competition. We will just have to see.
The Pussycat Dolls line is called Shhh by Robin Antin. The dolls lingerie is being sold at 55 Bebe stores and online at bebe.com, in addition to Fred Segal in Los Angeles and the La Sensa lingerie chain in Canada and the U.K. It is already being sold. Your friends might already own some of this hot line you just don’t know. So what is the purpose of this line? Robin Antin, the Pussycat Dolls’ creator, music video director and choreographer, who is designing the lingerie stated “I designed this line specifically for women to feel empowered, strong, feminine, sexy and a little naughty if they’re feeling it,” The designs go back to the Pussycat Dolls roots from the performance clothes they wore in their original shows to pin-up girls, music, and sailor-girl styles.

Antin stated “The words for me on this collection are flirtatious, fashion and fun,” she said. “It’s so comfortable and it doesn’t bulk up under your clothes. The fabrics lay beautifully on a woman’s skin.”

I believe this lingerie line matched perfectly with the Bebe customer. The Pussycat Dolls stand out from others because not only do their looks express independence and hotness but their music does too. Bebe’s chief exective, Greg Scott stated, “The Pussycat Dolls are known globally for their bold lyrics and chic style that personifies a sexy, self-assured and independent spirit.

This collection includes Nautical, animal print, and a rock-’n’-roll chic look. Some garment styles are boyshorts, delicate tops and bottoms, camis, balconette bras, corsets and thongs. So now that we know all about what this line is all about you are probably wondering how much this hot look is going to cost you. The prices range from $22 to $98. What do think? Are you going to contribute to the Pussycat Dolls already growing enterprise?

Fashion Experts Advice to Aspiring Fashion Students

Entering the fashion industry is not always easy. When I decided I wanted to study to be a fashion designer I knew I was up for a big task. Some people were super excited for me while others thought it was a little crazy. Throughout few years of my college career I have had easy moments and difficult ones as well. Many fashion experts have been giving advice to aspiring fashion students just like me.
Last Tuesday at event hosted by the YMA Scholarship Fund and sponsored by DOW XLA fashion experts discussed what it take in the current economic conditions to survive in the industry. Whether students are seeking a career as a designer or in retail, the fashion industry's competitive players at a fashion agreed that these students must stay focused, have creativity and be able to communicate with the consumers. So basically for us students since we are in a economic down turn building brands is much harder and happens more slowly. We are going to have work a little harder to make it in this industry.
Here are some of these experts personal advice:

"Communicate your truth to a wide audience," said Alex Gonzalez, who has his own advertising agency ,"but don't speak to the lowest common denominator to survive. Hold to the truth."
"Define and redefine your look," said Designer Zac Posen, "Create your own look, and know who you are and know who the customer is." But, he added, "There's no formula."

"Fashion has to be inspirational," stated Mary Alice Stephenson, style expert and contributing fashion editor at Harper's Bazaar

After reading these inspirational advices it made me realize how much more I am excited to be in this industry and maybe one day I will be having my own advice to aspiring fashion students.

Jewelry made for each American Idol

The top-rated Fox show American Idol has been viewed by many people. Some of the contestants are talented while others are not so much. We all have our personal opinions if a person can sing well or not. As we all know Simon Cowell is not always nice when it comes to him expressing his personal opinion but everyone knows that Paula Abdul tries to make up for it. Well she makes up for it a little more than we know. Did you know each season she designs a piece of jewelry for the contestants as a remembrance of their memorable experience on the show. For this next season she has designed beaded leather cuff bracelets with an inscribed message stating “reach for the stars." These bracelets will go to female contestants. I believe that this is really neat that she is so giving to these contestants. I love to have things that remind me of memorable moments. This is such a big part of these people’s lives. Not everyone gets to go on American Idol. These people earned it through their talent.
Similar pieces of jewelry will soon be able to be bought by Abdul’s fans on HSN at the beginning of this month. The new HSN Forever Your Girl line includes handbags and accessories that start at $29 and go to $200.Paula Abdul stated ,"I pretty much wear my jewelry all the time now, but I end up giving it away," she says. "I'll take it off my wrist or neck and give it to someone who likes it." Jewelry has always been something she has loved from owning it to designing it. In previous years she sold a small jewelry collection on QVC.
In addition to her jewelry collection for fans she has other plans for the new year which include an album of new material and a new reality TV special that will be broadcasted on MTV called "Rah! Paula Abdul's Cheerleading Bowl."

In with the BOLD for Spring

Its always thrilling to see what is will be in for the next season. Spring seems far away but before we know it will be here again. The fashion forecast for spring accessories is out and includes bold popping colors. This last Wednesday Neiman Marcus released an accessories preview. It gave a preview look on the biggest accessory trends for next spring.
Accessories can always make the outfit. You can wear the simplest outfit and if add a little punch of bold accessories your outfit will be made. This is what springs fashion forecast is all about. It includes bold colors, chunky jewelry and exotic skins. The simplest wardrobes are going to be the ones that most stand out if they include one of spring’s accessories. I know I am excited about this next season. I love accessories but unfortunately I don’t own much. I have more of the simple jewelry like silver and gold hoops. After seeing that bold and chunky jewelry is in for next season I might broaden up my collection and add some color.
Newman Marcus plans to carry a mix of colors. Some of the shades includes slight pink glazes and coral. Even though they plan on going bold they are also including nude, beige and pale pink accessories that stay on the less extreme side but still add a touch to your outfit. If that isn’t what you want then they also are carrying watery blues, sea greens and aqua. Some of these accessories that will been sparkling on their selves include cobalt blue suede sandals by Loeffler Randall and the jewel-encrusted aqua python clutch by Prada. The next shade is python. Designers like Gucci, Prada and Jimmy Choo have created fabulous handbags and shoes with the snakeskin jazz that will be released for this next spring.

It’s all about being bold from tortoise-worked heels from Gucci to a bright blue metallic tote from Chanel Just add one of these items to your outfit. You don’t need to be scared that you are over doing it.
